Arthur Hollingsworth, Managing Partner
Investment Committee
Mr. Hollingsworth is Managing Partner of five private equity funds with over $350 million under management. He has 30 years of experience in private equity investing and investment banking with the funds mentioned above, Paine Webber Incorporated (now UBS), and First Boston Corporation (now UBS). He served on the North Texas Super Bowl XLV Host Committee, was Chairman of VisitDallas, was Chairman of the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce, and also has served as the Vice Chairman of the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART). In 2023, Mr. Hollingsworth was appointed to the Royal Commission for Al-'Ula Advisory Board. Mr. Hollingsworth serves on the Board of Hollingsworth & Vose Company (started 1728) and is Chairman of the Audit Committee. Mr. Hollingsworth also currently serves on the boards of State Service, Inc., Alsay Incorporated, Safety Storage LLC, Reliant Worldwide Plastics LLC, Continental Electronics Corporation, Dallas Committee on Foreign Relations, Frac Tank Rentals LLC (Managing Member), Oil Works, Inc. (Chairman), Trinity Forge, Inc. (Chairman), Mall Area Redevelopment Board, Safety Storage, Inc., and Yellow Checker Cab Company of Dallas/Fort Worth, Inc. He is a former board member of the City of Dallas Reinvestment Zone Board, the City of Dallas Privatization Technical Subcommittee, the LBJ Executive Board, which developed the construction plan for IH 635 Freeway, and the University of Texas Southwestern University Hospitals and Clinics Board of Visitors. Mr. Hollingsworth was a Director and largest shareholder of Access Bancorp, Inc. which was successfully sold in 2022 to Texas State Bankshares, Inc. A Harvard College Scholar, Arthur Hollingsworth earned an undergraduate degree in Economics from Harvard University and has served as Chairman of the Harvard Club of Dallas. He received Harvard's Albert H. Gordon '23 Award. He is an inductee in the Harvard Varsity Club Hall of Fame for his role as Co-Captain of the National Championship Harvard Rowing Team, as referenced in Devin Mahony's book, The Challenge. (Chicago: Contemporary Books) The Dallas Business Journal awarded Mr. Hollingsworth with the Community Impact Dealmaker of the Year award. Mr. Hollingsworth was honored as the Human Relations Award recipient by the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance. A direct descendant of Alexander Hamilton, Mr. Hollingsworth serves as President of the Alexander Hamilton Scholars Board of Directors (www.hamiltonscholars.org).
John McGuire, Managing Director of Operations
Investment Committee
Mr. John McGuire joined Lone Star Investment Advisors in June 2008, as Vice President of Operations. Mr. McGuire has over 25 years experience working for manufacturing and distribution companies, having filled numerous operational positions within Wang Computers, Western Digital, Nacco Material Handling, Radix Telecom, BE Aerospace, Schrader Electronics and K&D Plastics. Mr. McGuire used lean manufacturing techniques extensively throughout his career and his primary role with Lone Star Investment Advisors will be to work with, and assist, portfolio companies in evaluating current business processes and jointly determining opportunities to improve. Mr. McGuire will also assist with due diligence programs. Mr. McGuire holds an MBA from the University Of Ulster, Jordanstown, Northern Ireland and APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) certification.
Adrian Ocegueda, Principal
Adrian Ocegueda returned to Lone Star in 2017, he previously served as Vice President with LSIA from 2008 to 2014. His responsibilities include investment evaluation, due diligence, financial analysis, deal execution, and ongoing implementation of operational and growth strategies for portfolio companies. His prior experience includes serving as a Senior Policy Advisor to the Mayor of El Paso and serving as an Economic Analyst for various government and non-profit entities. Mr. Ocegueda holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Economy from Princeton University, a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance & Financial Consulting from Southern Methodist University, and is a CFA® charterholder.
Eric Juers, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Juers joined Lone Star Investment Advisors in 2015. At the portfolio level, he oversees and monitors the accounting departments of 13 companies, facilitates third party financing, and manages financial reporting of Company CFOs. At the Fund level, he manages the financial activity and accounting of four Funds and their affiliates as well as two management companies. Mr. Juers leads the yearly valuations of the Lone Star entities and four Fund audits. His additional roles include legal, banking, and tax functions, as well as investor relations. In addition to his financial and accounting responsibilities, Mr. Juers' regulatory compliance role requires him to monitor internal practices, implement policies and procedures, and manage the creation of Company compliance manuals. Mr. Juers earned his undergraduate degree in business and finance from Campbell University.
LaQuita Black, Administrative Assistant
LaQuita Black joined Lone Star in October 2015. Prior to becoming a full-time employee, Ms. Black assisted the team on a contract basis from March 2015. LaQuita’s prior experience includes 6 years overseas as a Government Contractor for the U.S. Military – as a Billeting and Logistics Coordinator, and 11 years experience with JCPenney Corporate Office as a Production and Support Representative.
